Ben graduated as a dentist in 1993 and has worked as a Specialist Orthodontist since qualifying in 2003, taking over as principal of Park Lane Orthodontics in 2005. Ben is a keen musician. He also loves cricket, cycling and the great outdoors, especially cycling or walking up large hills. He once cycled up Mount Ventoux in France three times in a day, just because it was there….

Paula graduated as a dentist in 1995 and has worked solely in Orthodontics since she took over the practice with Ben in 2005. She is an active committee member of the Reading section of the British Dental Association and was chairperson in 2012. Paula is a keen singer, cake maker, and also loves cricket and the outdoors….except large hills!

Sonja joined us in 2011 and has grown in her role considerably, adding the Radiography and Orthodontic Nursing Qualification to her previously gained Nursing exam. In 2015 she successfully passed her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy at Warwick University, meaning she is fully qualified to take on patient treatment. Her commitment to training and patients is outstanding and she is a great addition to our orthodontists. She enjoys walking at the weekend with her dog and husband, Phil. She also loves music and going to gigs.

Practice Manager and Treatment Coordinator

Fran started her journey at Park Lane Orthodontics as a Practice Manager and has expanded her role into treatment coordination so she will help you with your initial steps into consultation and treatment with us. She has worked in several specialist branches of dentistry and has now expanded her knowledge to include Orthodontics. Fran has a strong interest in Dental Compliance and loves being a part of the team at Park Lane due to their rigorous cross infection policies, ethics and up to date compliance. She regularly maintains her knowledge of compliance and keeps up with the latest changes in guidance. In her spare time, Fran enjoys travelling with her husband and two children.

Patient Adviser

Our second longest serving team member, Lorraine joined the practice in 2004. She has flourished in her role of patient adviser, bringing friendly banter and a welcoming smile. Although her family is grown up she still loves spending time with her daughters. Another passion of hers is music and her and her husband, Steve, love watching live music whenever they can.

Nikki joined us in August 2019 and helps to put patients at ease with her cheerful and calm manner. In her spare time, she likes keeping fit and walks with her family and energetic cockerpoo dog!

Sian has joined us recently in 2016 after a wealth of experience as a nurse in a multi-disciplinary dental practice. In her spare time Sian likes to catch up with family and friends as well as reading and walking with her dog.

Katha has joined us earlier in 2016 helping us with maternity cover for Jess. Katha is kept busy in her spare time with her five year old son, Malakai.

Emma joined is in 2019 bringing with her a wealth of experience in private dental practice and also some time in other vocations. We were delighted to be able to attract her back to dentistry as she is very organised, level headed and reassuring to patients! Away from work, Emma likes keeping active and enjoys seeing the far corners of the world (when possible!)
