Here at Park Lane we offer lingual braces that sit on the tongue side of your teeth completely out of view from others – these are arguably the most aesthetic brace available to patients.

What is the treatment process for lingual braces?

You will be invited to attend an initial consultation where we will listen to your expectations of treatment and your priorities so that we can establish the best choice of appliance for you. Should you wish to choose Incognito, we will invite you to attend a second appointment where we will take digital, hassle-free impressions (or moulds) of your teeth – these will be used as a foundation for the design of the braces and the brace hardware. The brace can then be created to be an exact match for your tooth measurements and we can fit you with the brace and treatment can begin.

We generally ask patients to visit us every 6-10 weeks in order to check progress and flag up any potential issues.

Why choose Incognito over other treatment types?

Incognito braces are a great choice of brace for those who do not wish for their smile to change throughout treatment. There is no risk of any damage to your front tooth surface due to the braces being on the tongue side of the teeth.

Orthodontic treatment can be challenging for patients as the treatment period is lengthy, especially in the case of correcting bite issues and more complex alignment issues. Lingual braces produce results very early in the treatment timeline, giving patients confidence and the motivation to stay positive in moments when treatment can be stressful.

Don’t forget about your retainer!

You will need to wear a retainer once the brace-wearing part of treatment is over.  This is to prevent your teeth from shifting back into their original position and is therefore a vital part of orthodontics – don’t ruin your hard work by forgetting to wear your retainer!
