This week sees the second of seven lectures I have organised as part of my tenure as Chairperson of the Reading Section of the British Dental Association. As well as representing our dental and orthodontic colleagues, the section organises the lectures to provide dentists and their teams with updates on our profession and in turn, verified training points that help them continue their development after qualification.
Although it has been a challenge being section chair, balancing commitments to home and being an orthodontist in my own practice, I have enjoyed putting together the curriculum. I have also enjoyed going to the South Mercia branch meetings as the Reading BDA representative and getting involved in the ongoing development of the BDA, meaning I can help deliver a better and ever improving industry in which we work.
