As they’re fitted on the inside of your teeth, can stay aesthetically brace-free throughout the period of treatment. This means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.
What are lingual braces?
Lingual braces refer to braces that fit on the inside of your teeth – or the tongue side of your teeth.
What are lingual braces for?
Like converntional braces, lingual braces are used to correct problems with misaligned or poorly angled front teeth. Depending on how crooked the teeth are, treatment time is generally between 18-36 months. Lingual braces can take longer to correct your teeth than other brace models, and can take longer for you to get used to but they are the ultimate cosmetic brace.
Here at Park Lane, we use 2 types of lingual brace, Incognito – a fully bespoke system for more complex treatments, and 2D lingual which is ready to go system for simpler treatments. As they’re fitted on the inside of your teeth, your smile can stay aesthetically brace-free throughout the period of treatment.
Specialist orthodontist Ben Buffham explains how lingual braces can straighten your teeth.
