Park Lane has been an orthodontic practice for the last 15 years and in 2005, Ben and Paula Buffham took over the practice and Park Lane was born again!
With many years of combined experience, Ben and Paula have worked hard to establish their vision for Park Lane and made it a practice where patients feel welcome and comfortable. Since 2005, the practice has undergone a serious re-fit, with cleanliness and safety at the forefront. Cross-infection control, health and safety and data confidentiality are meticulously observed and practice procedures are followed so as to provide patients with every care.
The practice is well-equipped, with state-of-the-art technology such as the i-Tero scanner, allowing our orthodontists to present patients with a prospective image of their treatment outcome. Such technology also eliminates the need for manual impressions, which means patients no longer need to go through the uncomfortable process of gel-based impressions.
Ben Buffham
Co-owner of the practice, Ben Buffham is a specialist orthodontist who graduated from university in 1993. When asked about his profession, Ben said ‘It’s the edge of dentistry that is cosmetic but also the health and the function and the wellbeing of the mouth and teeth – it’s really the art and science of dentistry combined’.
‘Both sides of my ability come out there – the science of dentistry and the creative side – the art and appearance and interaction with patients’.
Paula Buffham
Paula Buffham is also co-owner of the practice and graduated in 1995. Paula performs the full range of orthodontic treatment that is offered at the practice such as removable braces, interceptive treatments, as well as more complex treatments such as Invisalign and lingual braces. Paula is also an active member of the Reading section of the British Dental Association and was chairperson in 2012.
Park Lane’s recent inspection concluded that ‘People experienced the care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. We received positive comments from everyone spoken with about the appointment system, the competence and professionalism of staff and the level of information provided when people attended the practice.’
2015 saw Park Lane receive 98% positive feedback when patients were asked about the cleanliness of the practice, rating it ‘ideal’.
