Ceramic braces are effective and discreet when it comes to teeth straightening. They’re also more likely to stain than traditional metal braces and aren’t quite so robust so this is worth bearing in mind when you come to choose your braces. Clear fixed braces are a bit more expensive but many patients tell us they’re happy to pay a little more to have braces that are highly effective and have low visibility.
3. Invisalign
Invisible aligners have become increasingly popular among older patients and for good reason. Patients are able to avoid brackets and wires altogether while achieving a new beautiful smile.
Invisalign are custom-made plastic aligners worn over teeth. New aligners are created and placed at our Reading Orthodontic practice every two weeks to continually shift the patient’s teeth.

Incognito Braces are extremely sophisticated custom-made brackets that move teeth into their desired position over time. We often recommend them for more complex orthodontic cases and for patients who see comfort and discreet braces as a priority.
We also offer the 2D brace system for patients looking for a lingual orthodontic option. The system is less expensive than Incoginto and we often recommend them to patients requiring a less complex orthodontic treatment plan. Like Incognito, they’re almost totally invisible and very comfortable.

Our unique Smile Rapide braces concentrate on the front teeth, teeth most visible to everyone else.
